NOTICE

STAFF - INTERNET SERVICE SUBSCRIBERS ON THE MAIN CAMPUS

The University Internet bandwidth was recently upgraded by about 66% .

This, with optimised network and network expansion should translate to faster Internet access for users. One of the immediate measure to appropriate the benefit for users is an audit of existing internet accounts. To this end current internet passwords will cease to function by 10.00am of Monday, 11 November 2019.

Subscribed users will be required to visit the URL below for policy guiding the use of the account, click I ACCEPT in agreement and immediately log in to their institutional email @ui.edu.ng for new password.

If you have any challenge accessing your institutional email or other network resources, kindly resolve that before Monday by sending message using alternate email to networksupport@ui.edu.ng; itemshelpdesk@ui.edu.ng or call 08056355517, 08035180197, 08185619276

For your protection, you will need to present valid University ID card and if calling, answer some personal questions to validate your identity.

The previous Internet (Hotspot) login page is also changing on the same day. Snapshot of the new page is provided here.

It should be noted, that all network resources    such    as    Institutional    email, University website, Learning Management System (LMS), Staff Directory and FAQs, with icons on the hotspot page do not require internet access as long as you are connected to the University network (wireless or cable). They may however

require their own authentication. Efforts are ongoing to consolidate access to network resources to reduce the need for multiple login credentials.
