COLLABORATION TRAINING WORKSHOP BENETT UNIVERSITY AND UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN

In furtherance of the collaboration between the University of Ibadan, Women’s Law Clinic and Bennett University, a training workshop was held on Friday, July 26, 2024. The training was themed ‘Teaching and Learning in the 21st century: Lessons from the University of Ibadan’ At the training workshop, staff clinicians at the Women’s Law Clinic trained staff and tutors of Bennett University on the use of Clinical Legal Education methods especially in the 21st Century.

The training Manual was developed and prepared by four (4) Staff Clinicians of the Women’s Law Clinic, Faculty of Law University of Ibadan - Prof Oluyemisi Bamgbose SAN; Prof Omolade Olomola, Dr. Afolasade Adewumi and Dr. Folakemi Ajagunna.

The training was conducted by Professor Omolade O. Olomola and Dr. Afolasade A. Adewumi of the Departments of Private and Property Law and Jurisprudence & International Law respectively. Highlights of the training sessions included the hands on training on demystification strategies where CLE methods such as mock trials, storytelling, street law and community engagement were extensively discussed.
