BEWARE OF ADMISSION SCAM

Our attention has been drawn to the circulation of what has been claimed to be "Department cut-off marks" for undergraduate admission to the University of Ibadan for the 2019/2020 academic session.

This is fake news and should be ignored. Even as the VC, I do not determine the cut off marks. The University of Ibadan operates strictly on basis of the Committee System and the cut off marks can only be determined at meetings of the Faculty Admissions Committee. The meetings are scheduled to hold from today Wednesday 18th September till Friday 20th September 2019.

We will publish the cut off marks in real time after the conclusion of the Admission Committee meetings, and the document will be duly endorsed by the Registrar in her capacity as the Secretary to Senate.

Members of the public, especially our numerous admission-seeking candidates and their parents and guardians are kindly implored to disregard any other alternative information from unauthorised sources, please.
